It is the official conference of the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA). IDRCs are hosted by WMDA registry members worldwide and bring together international representatives of stem cell donor registries and umbilical cord blood banks.

This encompasses the working sessions of the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) committees, which are scheduled by the WMDA office.

The event takes place over four days.
16-17 March 2027: WMDA Global Meetings
18-19 March 2027: International Donor Registry Conference

No, you do not need to attend both the IDRC and WMDA Global Meetings.

In case of any cancellations, the eligible refund amount shall be effected after deducting USD30 towards administrative charges.

All cancellation requests received up to 15 August 2026 will be eligible for 100% refund of the amount paid.

All cancellation requests received up to 15 December 2026 will be eligible for 75% refund of the amount paid.

All cancellation requests received up to 15 February 2027 will be eligible for 50% refund of the amount paid.

No refund for cancellation shall be eligible if requests are made after 15 February 2027.

All the applicable refunds will be processed only 30 days after the completion of the conference.

No. The Gala dinner is included in the conference registration fee, and registered delegates are welcome to attend.

If you’re unable to attend, transfer of registration to another member within same organisation is accepted at no additional cost. No other transfer is accepted. Please write to the conference manager at registration@idrc2027chennai.com

The scientific programme will run over two days (18-19 March 2027). WMDA Global Meetings will be held 16-17 March.

The programme is curated by Anthony Nolan and DATRI in collaboration with the Scientific Programme Committee, composed of international experts with registry, research and medical backgrounds.

Yes, the programme will include scheduled networking breaks, poster sessions and social events to encourage collaboration among registries worldwide.

Yes, a formal call for abstracts will be announced soon. Researchers and professionals will be invited to submit original research aligned with the conference theme.

Accepted abstracts may be presented as oral or poster presentations.
